Our Services
The services we offer at our four medical clinics—in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach—along with our satellite resource center in Suffolk and our Great Expectations Parenting Support Center in Chesapeake, enables moms, dads, and their families to boldly choose LIFE for their preborn children and find help for the present, hope for the future, and healing from the past.
Ultrasounds
The moment a woman sees her preborn child on an ultrasound screen is crucial in her decision to choose LIFE. The medical professionals at our four medical clinics provide our patients with ultrasound to reveal the precious life they carry.
“When I saw the ultrasound, it all became real. In my heart, I knew that was a life. As soon as I saw that little image on the screen, I covered my eyes and I sobbed. I couldn’t believe God was blessing me and trusting me with a baby. The ultrasound allowed me to make a connection within my soul that there really was a baby growing and developing inside of me!”

Helpline and same-day service
CPC’s helpline responders prayerfully receive every call as the first point of contact at CPC for a woman seeking help and hope in her unplanned pregnancy. Our helpline is open from 7 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., six days a week, with a shift from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays. Call center specialists answer every call with the intent to book a same-day appointment, which is crucial in a woman’s decision to choose LIFE.

“When it comes to our most vulnerable patients, before they make a life changing decision, it’s so important to get them in the day they call so they can be informed at such a crucial time of crisis.”

Advocacy intervention
Many women do not have the support, resources, or information to fully understand pregnancy and what is happening to her body. Many do not understand abortion and its tragic consequences, both for her and her child. And many feel fear, hopelessness, and anger. Our Patient Advocates sit with our patients, help them navigate their fears, and provide them with a listening ear, biblical guidance, and prayer. They offer educational and community resources, as well as remain in touch with them throughout their pregnancy to offer additional support.
“My patient advocate created a safe space for me. She gave me reassurance and support, which I valued. … The support I received from CPC’s pregnancy medical clinics was unwavering. It just doesn’t stop.”

Pregnancy testing
Many women come to us to confirm that they are pregnant. We provide them with pregnancy testing at no cost to them.
“I was so scared, confused, and in shock. I didn’t know what to do. This wasn’t something you could just let go and forget about. Thankfully, I found CPC’s pregnancy medical clinic, a clinic I didn’t know existed right in my area. I scheduled my first appointment to confirm the pregnancy and get information.”

Parenting classes
Through our Great Expectations (GE) parenting classes, moms and dads become equipped for parenthood, join a community of other expectant families, have the opportunity to hear the gospel, and are cared for by a community of believers who love LIFE.
“I felt like I got a good foundation of information,” said Claudia. “They helped us out, too, with clothes, and blankets, and everything. We’ve never had to buy diapers. That helped us out so much, because we were able to stockpile enough resources for them, to the point where we even had extras. … It was a godsend experience.”

Essential baby items
Through participation in our Great Expectations parenting classes, expectant families receive essential baby items—like a car seat, outfits, diapers, wipes, and more—to help get them started on their parenting journey. Everything is housed in and distributed from our Great Expectations Parenting Support Center.
“CPC has been so supportive. People came by the house to pray over my daughter. I got phone calls throughout my whole pregnancy. I’ve gotten so much stuff: my bassinet, car seat, stroller, diapers, and a gently used crib. It’s been a very beautiful experience.”

Abortion recovery
Our Abortion Recovery Ministry offers those who have had an abortion, or been involved in an abortion, an opportunity to find forgiveness and healing through Jesus Christ. Our gender-specific small groups provide a space for men and women to talk about the complex emotions surrounding an abortion experience, and our Bible-based curriculum offers hope and healing through Christ.
“My abortion recovery small group helped me bring to light something I had tried to forget altogether. My abortion was something I had buried deep down and heaped with piles of remorse, regret, and disgust. I needed help lifting those things off myself. It hurt too much for me to do it on my own. Going through a class helped me slowly remove those piles and replace them with loving truth from God’s Word. I felt a wound heal that I thought would hurt forever. Through my recovery process, I found forgiveness that had been there waiting for me all along. I finally felt worthy enough to pick it up and claim it as my own.”
