Anmity’s Story
My name is Anmity, and I am a mother of four: Saleem, Shiloh, Shakur, and now my youngest, Sada. I was first introduced to CPC through my sister, who had previously been a patient there. She encouraged me to schedule an ultrasound appointment. At the time, I didn’t know much about the organization and didn’t think too deeply about it. I just went.
During my visit, I had a consultation with my Advocate, during which I opened up about my fears. After everything I went through with my youngest son, I had lost so much, and the thought of going through that again made me terrified to have another baby. I told her I was waiting for a sign from God to help me decide what to do.
I remember my Advocate telling me something that stayed with me:
God doesn’t make mistakes.
She also spoke life into me by saying this could be my opportunity to have a baby girl and that they would support and guide me through the entire pregnancy. In that moment, something shifted in me. I realized she was right. Even though I had experienced loss before, I found the strength to keep going and stay positive. I held onto my faith, trusting that everything would be okay as long as I continued to believe and pray.
Seeing my baby during the ultrasound made things feel real,
and it deepened my connection and strengthened my decision to keep going.
Throughout this journey, CPC has been a source of encouragement, support, and hope for me. They reminded me that I wasn’t alone.
My children are my biggest motivation. I love them deeply because they give me strength and purpose every single day. Becoming a mother again, even through uncertainty, has shown me just how powerful faith and perseverance can be.
Through this experience, God has taught me to trust Him fully,
even when things feel uncertain or difficult. He has shown me that there is purpose in every situation and that He will always make a way.
Because of the impact that CPC has had on my life, I feel inspired to give back and be a part of their mission. I truly love this program and everything it stands for, and I hope my story can encourage other women who may be facing similar decisions. I hope that one day I can join CPC and give back in the same way they have given to me.
