“An army of people behind me”

SARA’S STORY

“When I found out I was pregnant, I was terrified. My husband and I were rebuilding from the lowest point of our marriage. Once we were on the mend, I discovered I was pregnant. I was considering every option, but I was scared. During the ultrasound at CPC’s medical clinic, I got to see the heartbeat, and my heart filled with so many emotions. I knew I wanted to keep it.  

The staff at the clinic made me feel supported and safe.

They made me feel that if I did choose to parent, I would have an army of people behind me, whom I didn’t even know, that WANTED to help me.

We attended the Great Expectations parenting classes throughout the pregnancy and gained so much more than just knowledge. The most helpful part of the class was how many diapers, burp cloths, and clothes we got for participating, as well as the gifts from the generous baby showers! It is hard to fathom that there are still beautiful souls out there that want to help people they don’t know and expect nothing in return.  

It is so strange and yet beautiful to look back at the hardships prior to our baby girl and seeing how much God was working in our lives. Today, we are closer and stronger than ever and are so in love with our little girl.”
